Axiomtek, one of the world's leading design and manufacturing companies of innovative, high performance and reliable PC-based industrial computer products, recently supported the 25th annual "Spark of Love Toy Drive." The campaign was founded as a collaborative effort between Southern California fire departments and ABC7 with the goal of adding joy and making a difference to the local underserved childrens' lives during the holidays. Between the months of November and December, ABC7 and fire stations across the Los Angeles region collect donations of unwrapped toys and sports equipment for the Toy Drive. They also take monetary donations to purchase toys and sports equipment, ensuring that the growing local needs are met. Axiomtek Calfornia is proud to participate in support of the local communities they serve. The team donated 80 items and the company matched the gifts with a monetary donation of $1,000 to the cause.
Axiomtek believes in corporate social responsibility and giving back to the local communities. Its employees are encouraged to volunteer and support charitable causes throughout the year. The team is committed to reaching out to and assisting the surrounding communities with their efforts to better lives and the environment. With the recent wildfires in California and the hardship many families have faced, Axiomtek employees recognized the heightened need for holiday joy and came together to collect toys and gifts for the affected children in support of their parents, who otherwise were not able to afford the gifts.
"We believe in giving back to our local communities and extending our hand to anyone in need of help," said Stanley Chang, Axiomtek’s chief financial officer. "We learned that many families during this holiday season were displaced due to the recent wildfires. We also learned of the growing economic needs of families in the Los Angeles region who are less fortunate. Our team was inspired to help the children and parents in our communities experience the holidays as best as the rest of the community. We came together successfully to help collect the toys and donations, and to bring a smile to their faces."
The "Spark of Love Toy Drive" has collected more than ten million toys to give to children since its inception. In 2017, the campaign celebrated its 25th anniversary with the goal of more than 450,000 toys collected and delivered.
Although the 2017 "Spark of Love Toy Drive" is completed, consider donating to the cause when it kicks off again during the 2018 holiday season. To learn more about the Toy Drive, go to abc7.com/sparkoflove/.
