City of Industry, Calif., October 30th, 2024 – Axiomtek USA is proud to announce the successful installation of solar panels and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at its California facility, marking a significant milestone toward its ongoing commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals and the 2024 Go Green Initiative. These advancements align with Axiomtek’s goal of reducing carbon emissions along with fostering eco-friendly practices within the technology and industrial computing industry.
The newly installed solar panel system, comprising around 300 panels, will use renewable energy to power a substantial portion of the facility's operations. Powered by the solar panels, the EV charging station will provide convenient and accessible charging infrastructures directly on-site, supporting the aim to reduce carbon emissions and promote cleaner, more sustainable commuting practices.
Together, these installations are projected to significantly reduce Axiomtek’s environmental footprint over the long term, with an estimated offset of approximately 3,484 pounds of CO₂ over the next 20 years. The reduction is expected to lower annual energy costs by nearly 65% and is equivalent to eliminating the emissions from approximately 7,920,677 miles driven by cars or the carbon absorption of 52,256 trees.
“The completion of our solar panel installation and EV charging station marks a meaningful step in Axiomtek USA's ESG commitment to sustainable growth," said Stanley Chang, CFO and General Manager at Axiomtek USA. “We’re proud of the Go Green efforts being made to reduce our environmental impact and create an eco-friendly workplace.”
Aligned with its ESG goals, Axiomtek aims for carbon neutrality by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2050. We will continuously drive environmental awareness and sustainability in all aspects of the business.
