City of Industry, Calif., October 30th, 2024 – Axiomtek USA is proud to announce the successful installation of solar panels and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at its California facility, marking a significant milestone toward its ongoing commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals and the 2024 Go Green Initiative. These advancements align with Axiomtek’s goal of reducing carbon emissions along with fostering eco-friendly practices within the technology and industrial computing industry.
The newly installed solar panel system, comprising around 300 panels, will use renewable energy to power a substantial portion of the facility's operations. This installation is projected to significantly reduce Axiomtek’s environmental footprint over the long term, with an estimated offset of approximately 3,484 pounds of CO₂ over the next 20 years. This reduction is expected to lower annual energy costs by nearly 65% and is equivalent to eliminating the emissions from approximately 7,920,677 miles driven by cars or the carbon absorption of 52,256 trees.
This substantial transition reinforces Axiomtek’s commitment to environmental responsibility and sets a strong example within the industrial computing sector, where sustainable practices are increasingly becoming integral to business operations.
In addition to the solar panel installation, the addition of an EV charging station represents a crucial step toward facilitating green transportation options for Axiomtek employees. These new EV chargers provide convenient and accessible charging infrastructures directly on-site, supporting the aim to reduce carbon emissions and promote cleaner, more sustainable commuting practices.
“The completion of our solar panel installation and EV charging station marks a significant step forward for Axiomtek USA's ESG commitment to sustainable growth," said Stanley Chang, CFO and General Manager at Axiomtek USA. “Investing in renewable energy and EV infrastructures reduces our environmental impact and creates a more eco-friendly workplace. This is an important step in our long-term effort to support a greener future.”
With these efforts, Axiomtek will continue taking the tangible steps needed to lead the charge in sustainable technology practices, encouraging other organizations to join the movement toward a greener tomorrow. Aligned with its ESG goals, Axiomtek aims for carbon neutrality by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2050. This installation marks just one of many initiatives planned under the Go Green Initiative, which seeks to continuously drive environmental awareness and sustainability in all aspects of the business.
